CSR Initiatives: housing repair program for NPOs
The staff of Chein Kuo Construction provides professional housing repairs service for non-profit organizations (NPOs). This Initiative is the one-stop service which includes assessment, planning, reviewing the contract and supervision on construction period. The staff helps with user-friendly design and considers the insufficient manpower in the NPOs and there for to suggests the best solution for reducing the cost of maintenance.
Over the years, Chien Kuo Construction has quietly contributed to numerous charitable causes and underprivileged groups. Today, the Company takes its corporate social responsibility one step further by integrating corporate resources and staff expertise to engage in long-term and cooperation with several NPOs.
Paid volunteer leave
In an effort to ensure public service is something in which all employees participate, the Company allows each employee two days of paid volunteer leave per year to participate in public service events held by partnering organizations. These include fundraising activities, year-end volunteer teams for the homeless led by the company chairman, biannual spring/autumn field trips with group home children and working to establish new homes for AIDS-infected babies. The company also works with the Garden of Hope Foundation to assisting female victims of domestic violence, with employees helping them pack cookies and chocolate candy, the sale of which fund their operations.

Founded in 2011, Chien Kuo Group Foundation for Arts and Culture aims to promote a modern lifestyle grounded in cultural and aesthetic sophistication, by combining traditional culture and modern innovation to inspire and foster contemporary art in daily life. The foundation taps into artistic interpretations such as traditional operatic performances, ink painting, toxin-free farming and tea culture to promote the continuation and innovative application of these arts to foster cross-cultural and trans-disciplinary understanding, exchange and dialogue. The objective is to enable the general public to experience the beauty of art and culture through educational and promotional events.

In 2015, the foundation established the Not Just Kunqu Facebook fans page to share information and reports on Kunqu operatic performances around the world. This also provides lovers of performance art, history, aesthetics and traditional opera with a platform on which to exchange ideas and opinions.
Philharmonic radio taipei's program: not just kunqu
Since 2012, the foundation has worked with Philharmonic Radio Taipei to co-produce the radio program, Not Just Kunqu. Every week, the shows invites masters, scholars, experts and professionals on Kunqu Opera to discuss the refined beauty of the art form in an in-depth yet easy-to-understand fashion.
